Our Wedding

I need you more than want you and I want you for all time ...

Our story begins as many do in this modern era, electronically. But one video correspondence turned into many and interest became reverence. From our shared love of film to our opposing stances on olives, this last year has brought us both happiness that transcends what we thought possible. We have spent hours upon hours travelling between New York and Ontario because our journeys reunited us. Now we wish to join our lives in the presence of our loved ones and become handfast.Throughout our time together we have enjoyed wonderful food, phenomenal concerts, interesting exhibits, fantastic plays and all of that is eclipsed by the passion we have for each other. We have also cherished the time spent acquainting ourselves with each other’s family and friends; immersing ourselves in our partner’s world. Though there are many complexities in establishing an international marriage, it has become obvious that this is the only path before us. We hope that we can share our joy and celebrate our story together!

This troublesome barnacle attached herself during a youth forum we both attended in high school and hasn’t let go. She swears that she never signed the friendship contract but like it or not she’s stuck with me.

Elizabeth Haist

Two more different people could not have become lifelong friends. Also introduced through youth forum, we have been heckling each other ever since.

Kelly Carlyle

A staple in my life for over two decades, we originally met during a theatrical production in university. In the years that followed, she transitioned from friend to sister.

Melanie McInall

Quick-witted to a fault but don’t tell her that. We met some five years ago when we both began careers with the federal government.

Barb Hammond

This scoundrel has been in my life for over a decade. Massage client to film friend to gym partner to close confident, you name it and he’s been there no matter what I needed.

Remy Legé-Jovian

Another decade+ friendship that I’ve depended on a fair amount; originating while we both worked at a local gym. Nothing cannot be solved when the two of us share a bottle of red.

Kristin Medina

What can you say about a sibling that isn’t already known. The person I’ve supported and fought with more than any other. I’m so lucky and incredibly proud to call her sister.

Danielle Labonte

My Scooby Doo and Disney on Ice companion. The person who gave me the title uncle.

Octavia Labonte

The clone of my younger sister. Relentless curiosity about the world and a neverending smile. Always wanting Uncle Jamie to push her on the swings.

Phoenix Labonte

Wedding Party

Dress to impress, but make sure you can move! Cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates are all great, as are suits or a sport coat and slacks (ties optional). Colors and fun accessories are encouraged; we just ask that you avoid white and green. Most importantly, wear something you feel great in, because we'll be dancing all night!
